The 2026 MLB Draft is less than a month away, and several Ole Miss baseball players are hoping to hear their names called.
Five of those players are among the 334 who will get the chance to improve their stock at the MLB Draft Combine June 23-25 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.
Pitchers Hudson Calhoun, Landon Koenig, Wil Libbert, Taylor Rabe and Cade Townsend were invited to participate in the combine.
Two Ole Miss signees were also invited to the combine.
The 2026 MLB Draft is July 11-12 in Philadelphia.
Townsend (5-3, 3.94 ERA) and Rabe (5-3, 3.55 ERA) were regular weekend starters for the Rebels this season.
Libbert (2-2, 6.19 ERA) began the season as a starter, but moved to a reliever role after struggling. Koenig (3-1, 6.35 ERA) made 17 relief appearances, and Calhoun (5-4, 4.05 ERA) made 22.
Ole Miss signees Cole Prosek and Taj Marchand were also invited. Prosek is a shortstop from Magnolia Heights High School in Senatobia, Mississippi, and he is the No. 33 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. He is projected as a top-40 pick in the draft.
Marchand is a shortstop from James Island Charter High School in Charleston, South Carolina. He is the No. 46 prospect.
Townsend is the only Ole Miss player projected as a first-round pick. He is ranked as the No. 27 prospect by MLB Pipeline. The MLB Pipeline mock draft from June 11 lists Townsend as the No. 23 pick going to the Chicago Cubs. ESPN's May 29 mock draft has Townsend as the No. 23 pick by Chicago Cubs.
Rabe and Libbert are also ranked prospects. Rabe is No. 90 and Libbert is No. 179.
