7 miss out as Girona name squad to face Barcelona
The squad of players called upon by Girona for their upcoming showdown with Barcelona has been unveiled online.
And it features a whole host of noteworthy absentees.
La Liga football will of course return to screens across the globe over the days ahead.
With the October international break having now come to a close, Girona, for their part, have been tasked with making the short trip across Catalunya for a meeting with Barcelona.
The Blanquivermells head into the matchup fresh off a much-needed first victory of the term last time out.
As alluded to above, though, in efforts to spring a surprise on Hansi Flick’s reigning champions on Saturday, Míchel will be forced to make do without a number of key players.
Girona’s travelling squad for the derby was revealed online on Friday.
And none of the following were anywhere to be seen:
David López, Juan Carlos, Donny van de Beek, Thomas Lemar, Alejandro Francés, Ivan Martín and Azzedine Ounahi.
