Taven Bryan DT-DE Florida 6`4 291 rated 6.35 NFL.COM starter Round 1 rating
raw, talented, strong, good motor-could fit either inside or DE.Will get better as instincts improve.Be a solid addition to DLine rotation while getting NFL Coaching

Billy Price C-G Ohio State 6`4 312 rated 5.90 NFL.COM starter Round 2 rating
mean, tough, strong, bring good blocking skills and toughness .probably be instant starter over Shipley

Ian Thomas TE Indiana 6`4 259 rated 5.82 NFL.COM-Round 2-3 rating
big, strong, raw, improving TE who can catch and Run block .Combo TE Compared to Jermane Gresham when he was drafted.Would immediately fit in 2 TE formations

Harrison Phillips DT-NT 6`4 307 Stanford. Rated 5.83 NFL.com Round 2-3.
Very strong, tough, great motor,,would be solid in defensive line rotation.

Braden Smith G Auburn 6`6 303 rated 5.68 NFL.COM Round 2-3.
Strong powerful run blocker lacks athletic ability.Tough mauler.Could backup Iupati while working on improving PP skills

Nick Keizer TE Grand Valley State 6`5 255 rated 5.11 NFL.COM late round
Strong (27 Bench press Pro Day) Plus Run Blocking skills, good drive blocker .decent pass catcher.Run blocking TE for 2 TE formations

They'd have to take Bryan in the 1st.

Price would be a Godsend.

Cards are very thin on the DLINE.Only 4 guys have actual NFL game time (Corey Peters,Olsen Pierre,Rod Gunter,Robert Nkemdiche) the others are Peli Anau,Pasoni Tasoni who were Practice squad guys last year and neither is 300 LBS and the german kid Moubaek Djeri.
A definate need area.

I believe Taven Bryan is a slider. Good player on a great defense. 2nd rounder? This is a weak D line class for the draft. Next year will be much better. It will be the Ed Oliver sweepstakes.

those guys are just the DT's...wilks will also be using Golden and Jones on the DLine....4 DT's is fine....though there will be vets released during camp...maybe a sixth round project for the practice squad would be good

I know that but i wonder how long both Jones and Golden can hold up playing inline? It just seems like not maximizing Chandler jones pass rush skills to have him battling a Tackle and TE quite often.Taven Bryan can play DT or DE.Harrison Phillips would be a strong rotation DT .I have too many memories of Simeon Rice playing poorly versus the run.

they will hold up...at 6'5 and 260 Jones is almost a prototype 4-3 DE..

arden key, Sam Hubbard, Harrold Landry...all DE's in the draft,...all basically identical to Jones... if we could grab a monster like Vea in the first...or one of these guys in the second I would be all for it... but Dline is pretty low on our team needs list right now

my guess is that wilks is planning to run a wide 9 set to utilize Jones quickness off the edge

That worries me somewhat, isn't D Buc going to be utilized on that side as well now? Teams will exploit that setup. Doesn't bode well against very good rushing teams.

Jones plays the run pretty good...as for dBuc...I think we will see his replacement drafted, IMO he is getting a chance to prove he can stick this season because we dont have enough bodies at LB right now.. but if he cant fill a spot long term he will be allowed to walk next march...
I mean..unless they are gonna get crazy and try to turn him back into a safety?? That doesnt make a lot of sense at this point

I don't think we can fix it all this draft so let's focus on Oline and get that unit fixed for what seems like forever. While they are at it let's get some help on the Dline as well.

I was hoping to focus on interior line and WR in this draft with maybe an off LBer..

we really need a RT but we have Toner... the need for better center and guards is desperate ... I would pick a center, a guard, and two WR's in this draft, use the 15 on either a MLB or a CB

PP21 is 28...we need a first round corner sometime in the next two years to prime as his replacement

all things considered I would probably pick Van Der Esch in the first though...15 is too high for him really...47 is more accurate,...but if edmunds goes as early as expected VDE is the next MLB , the other guys are ILb's

we can add a vet corner after the draft and vet rotation guys for the dline....draft a CB next year with an OT and DT in the second and third rounds

but ya never know, since he has been sliding O Brown may be there at 47

Toner has been gone since August 2017.Don`t want anything to do with Orlando Brown. As for RT- McGlinchey,Connor Williams my top 2 choices. As for OG-Cards have Iupati,Justin Pugh,Will Holden,Andre Smith.Smith,Pugh,Holden can play OT if needed. But i agree that another OLINE player or 2 is needed.

I haven't been doing much NFL or Cards wise for awhile now and as start to ramp back up my attention I'm becoming more and more concerned with how much the Cards need to add a bunch of talent.

It appears to me that SK feels he has taken care of the Oline but I don't agree with him. With Bradford as our starting QB and SW wanting to focus on running the ball I believe the Oline needs a bunch of help.

After that I'm good with a pure BPA draft.

Guys , we need a deep threat. Today and in the near future. Teams are going to stack the box against us with the current group of WR's we have. I know there is the saying you can always get WR's later in the draft. But I remember one time we took a WR with the 3rd pick in the draft....how did that work out?
Don't get caught up in "rankings". If we think Ridley , Sutton, Kirk, or Washington (my favorite) is the best at his position and is available who cares if we are drafting 15th and they are "ranked" 22nd?
