Are the Lions copying the Philadelphia Eagles? Sort of, at least in terms of which school they are picking from. Lovett becomes the third Georgia Bulldog selected by the Lions in this draft, following second-round OG Tate Ratledge and seventh-round safety Dan Jackson.

2. Set high school receiving record as a sophomore

Lovett played at Belleville High School in Missouri for two years. His sophomore year was quite a good one. He set a school record with 45 catches for 1,049 yards and 24 touchdowns. As a sophomore. That season landed him his first offer, from Iowa State.

3. Transferred before junior year of high school, won state title

After two years at Belleville, Lovett transferred to East St. Louis High for his junior year. All he did that year was catch 73 passes for 1,541 yards and 16 touchdowns. His team went on to win the state championship that year. His senior season was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

4. Started college career at Missouri, following in siblings' footsteps

After considering a host of offers, including Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia and Penn State, Lovett chose to go to Missouri, following in the footsteps of his three older siblings.

5. Led two schools in receiving throughout career

Lovett led Missouri in receiving in 2022, catching 56 passes for 846 yards and three touchdowns. In 2024, his second season at Georgia, his 59 catches and six touchdowns led the Bulldogs.
