Five-star tight end recruit Jaxon Dollar has announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs. Dollar, a member of the class of 2027, is a major recruiting win for Georgia coach Kirby Smart and tight ends coach Todd Hartley.
Dollar announced his commitment alongside his mom, family, friends and more. Dollar thanked his support system, coaches and family before committing to Georgia with a red Georgia chain that he pulled out of a briefcase. Hartley, Smart and everyone at Georgia did a great job of recruiting Dollar and maintaining a relationship with him.
Dollar committed to Georgia over the Miami Hurricanes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Clemson and Texas were also under consideration for Dollar. Dollar's decision comes a day after Georgia lost a commitment from four-star cornerback recruit Jerry Outhouse.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound tight end plays high school football for East Lincoln High School in Denver, North Carolina, which is located about an hour from Charlotte. Dollar is the second-ranked recruit in North Carolina and the second-best tight end in the country. The five-star is the nation's No. 33 recruit.
Dollar is coming off an incredibly productive junior season. He posted 54 receptions for 1,190 yards and 22 receiving touchdowns in 12 games. Dollar has an excellent combination of size and speed. He is capable of winning jump balls over opposing defensive backs. Dollar runs a wide variety of routes and could play receiver at the next level. He's tough to tackle and accumulates a lot of yardage after the catch.
Dollar two-sport star for East Lincoln. The elite tight end also plays basketball and posted several 20-point games during the 2025-2026 high school basketball season. Dollar's junior season drew buzz that he could play college basketball.
