5 Jaylen Brown landing spots if Celtics star forces trade after Giannis fallout

The fallout from the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade to the Miami Heat has to include Jaylen Brown, who might be VERY hurt that the Boston Celtics almost dealt him for the Milwaukee Bucks superstar. Despite the fact that reporting is that the Celtics were only going to deal Brown for Antetokounmpo, it's possible this forces Boston's hand.

So where could Brown go if the Celtics choose not to extend his contract and instead deal the superstar who had an MVP-like season last year? Let's dive in with some possible landing spots as the trade rumors begin to swirl for Brown after a night full of trades:

Houston Rockets​

I can't take credit for this one. My colleague Wajih AlBaroudi suggested a Brown for Alperen Şengün swap and... I kind of love it? The Rockets are a great young team that needs a superstar driving force beyond an older Kevin Durant. This would be the move that gets the Rockets into serious contention.

Portland Trail Blazers​

There have been rumors about the Blazers and Brown a lot as of late, so we have to throw them on the list. They have the contracts (Jerami Grant, for one) that could be sent over, along with young players. We'll see if they decide to move in.

Minnesota Timberwolves​

Hmm. They just dealt Julius Randle and will re-sign Ayo Dosunmu. But they're clearly looking to help out Anthony Edwards. Could they pull something off for Brown?

Atlanta Hawks​

A young team that's building around Jalen Johnson, but they really could use a centerpiece. How about a Georgia native who grew up near Atlanta?

Sacramento Kings​

A team completely lost that needs a reset. Let's assume Domantas Sabonis comes East in this one. I'm not sure it makes the most sense, but it feels like something that could happen.
