The Eagles and 49ers are on a collision course, and San Francisco's injuries are leaving Philadelphia little room for excuses or poor play on Sunday evening. Head coach Kyle Shanahan met with reporters as the San Francisco 49ers closed the book on their Week 18 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and began preparations for a road Wild Card matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Shanahan addressed the team's injury report, with star left tackle Trent Williams the key player to watch.

Williams missed Wednesday's session, and there's no guarantee that he'll practice on Thursday, putting his game status in serious jeopardy.

Not practicing for the 49ers today:
- Trent Williams (hamstring)
- WR Ricky Pearsall (knee)
- Dee Winters (ankle)
- Keion White (hamstring)

Shanahan said he's not sure Williams will practice tomorrow, either.

San Francisco then announced they had promoted linebacker Eric Kendricks to the active roster from the team's practice squad. In order to make room on the roster, the team placed linebackerTatum Bethune on the Injured Reserve List. In addition, the team officially announced the signing of Kyzir White to the practice squad, opened the practice window for wide receiver Jacob Cowing (Injured Reserve List), and signed linebacker Milo Eifler to a Reserve/Future contract.

Kendricks (6-0, 232) has appeared in 150 games (143 starts) where he registered 1,180 tackles, 21.5 sacks, 11 interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), 60 passes defensed, eight forced fumbles, and seven fumble recoveries. He has also appeared in six postseason contests (all starts),

Bethune (6-1, 230) appeared in 14 games (eight starts) and registered 91 tackles, four passes defensed, and 1.0 sack this season before suffering a groin injury.
