Last offseason, the San Francisco 49ers lost linebacker Dre Greenlaw to the Denver Broncos on a three-year deal, but just a year later, he's back playing on Kyle Shanahan's defense alongside Fred Warner.

Things didn't go great for Greenlaw in Denver, as the veteran battled injuries and received a one-game suspension for threatening a referee following a 33-32 win over the New York Giants.

While it was previously unknown what Greenlaw said to referee Brad Allen that led to the suspension, the linebacker revealed his comments on a recent episode of "The Set" with former NFL offensive lineman Terron Armstead.

"I told him, I said, 'Man, that was [bullcrap],'" Greenlaw said. "You're a b---- for calling that.' That's what I said to him, no cap. That's exactly what I said to him."

Greenlaw admitted the decision to verbal accost Allen was a stupid mistake, but if he's being honest, that a low bar for a suspension by the league, which has allowed other players to get away with much worse.
