The San Francisco 49ers didn't have the best pass rush throughout their 2025 campaign, as they finished with just 20 sacks on the year, which was actually the fewest in the NFL.

Part of the problem for San Francisco was the absence of defensive end Nick Bosa, who suffered a torn ACL in Week 3 and missed the rest of the year.

On Wednesday, ESPN released their edge rusher rankings for 2026, which is put together after a group of league executives, coaches and scouts cast votes on players. After finishing fifth in 2025, Bosa came in at No. 8 this year.

"He's got the best speed-to-power move in the NFL," an NFL personnel evaluator told ESPN. "He gets offensive tackles on their heels, and he pushes right through them."

Through seven seasons, the former first-round pick, has recorded 278 tackles (91 for a loss), 168 quarterback hits, 64.5 sacks, 13 forced fumbles, nine passes defensed, five fumble recoveries and two interceptions.

The seven edge rushers ahead of him were Myles Garrett (No. 1), Micah Parsons (No. 2), Will Anderson Jr. (No. 3), Maxx Crosby (No. 4), Aiden Hutchinson (No. 5), Danielle Hunter (No. 6) and T.J. Watt (No. 7). Brian Burns and Nik Bonitto rounded out the top 10.
