Norco High School has been friendly to the Oregon Ducks in the past, and they are looking to pull from the well once again on the recruiting trail. Four-star wide receiver Blake Wong listed the Ducks as one of his five finalists for his recruitment.

Wong, a 6-foot-1 receiver, could be the next pass-catcher the Ducks pull from California to join the receiving core. However, the competition is stiff for the No. 37-ranked wideout in the 2027 class, per Rivals. Wong also named Ohio State, UCLA, BYU and Utah as his other finalists.

The Ducks previously pulled brothers Travis and Troy Dye from Norco, albeit under a different coaching staff, and they became stars in Eugene. Oregon will get Wong on campus for an official visit on June 12, the second-to-last of his visits before he wraps up his recruitment. Ohio State will be his last stop before coming to a decision.

The Buckeyes appear to be the leader in the race so far, but the Ducks should have a chance once Wong gets on campus. In just 10 games last fall, Wong made 84 receptions for 1,470 yards and 20 touchdowns. He told Rivals' Adam Gorney what stood out to him about his last visit to Oregon.

“They have a great culture and good development with coach (Ross) Douglas and (Donte) Ellington and (Ryan Switzer), and they all work together and they all have fun at the same time," Wong said. "They’re a contender for championships every year. I feel like I fit in really well there with the players and the coaches and building that relationship has been really good.”

Oregon's current class is No. 7 in the nation, per Rivals, but mostly consists of quality defensive commits. The Ducks have five-star quarterback Will Mencl in town on Thursday, hoping to add him to the offensive side of the ball, but Wong would be another huge boost. The Ducks currently don't have any wide receivers committed.

June 12 is shaping up to be a massive day of official visits for the Ducks, with fellow blue-chip wideout Julian Caldwell and four-star defenders Hayden Stepp and Marcus Fakatou all expected to arrive as well.
