Following a tough outing against No. 1 Texas last week, the Texas A&M baseball team bounced back with a series win over No. 2-ranked LSU this weekend.

With 10 conference wins, the Aggies are working their way into a postseason bid after a horrendous start to the season. While it still hasn't been perfect, they have found ways to pull out wins while being the underdog in most series down the stretch. This three-game slate was defined by stellar pitching and clutch hitting by both baseball clubs. After splitting the first two games, the Aggies were able to hit timely hits by their star players late in the game.

Caden Sorrell and Jace LaViolette were pretty much automatically out for the majority of the weekend, combining 1-20 with 11 strikeouts. With the series on the line, they came up big in the bottom of the eighth inning and coach Earley praised their timely hits.

"We had some stuff go our way like two cap shots like you know you just say a bloop and a bomb, but it was a bloop, bloop and a bomb and that's baseball man, that's why you keep playing and you put balls in play"

In a weekend where scoring was hard to come by, the Texas A&M pitching staff had one of their better weekends from top to bottom that we have seen in a while. This allowed the team to keep fighting, and if there is one thing that's apparent about this team, it's that they never give up.

"Whenever it's close, I'm like this is the good stuff man, this is where you find out what you're made of you find out who you are and you just never stop playing you never stop freaking playing, man and they don't they don't so feels great"

Below is the full press conference after Game 3 of the LSU series.
