WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump defended his decision to call FIFA President Gianni Infantino to urge a review of the red card issued to U.S. Men's National Soccer Team forward Folarin Balogun in the World Cup, calling the penalty "unfair" and horrible."

"I saw the play, and I'm a person who loves sports and was a good athlete," Trump said. "That wasn't a foul. That wasn't even an infraction."
