"No Love" vows to "keep fighting."
Former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt experienced his third loss in four outings Saturday at UFC 329, but that doesn't mean he's done. After Garbrandt (15-8 MMA, 10-8 UFC) was knocked out in the first round by Adrian Yanez (18-6-1 MMA, 7-3-1 UFC) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, he took off his gloves, but never placed them down.
Tuesday, he spoke out about the loss for the first time, typing with enthusiasm in all capitals, the following:
"THERE ARE MOMENTS IN LIFE WHEN HOPE FADES, AND THE WEIGHT OF ENDLESS PROBLEMS MAKES THE PATH UNCLEAR," Garbrandt wrote on Instagram. "BUT REMEMBER THIS - YOU ONLY LOSE WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO GIVE UP. LET YOUR STRUGGLES BE YOUR FUEL, NOT YOUR DOWNFALL. DON’T LET THE STORM BREAK YOU; LET IT STRENGTHEN YOUR WILL TO RISE AND KEEP FIGHTING."
