The 6th annual Battle at the Beach Football Classic has revised its schedule for the three-day showcase in Ocean City.

Two-time defending state champion Winslow Township is out. The Eagles were originally scheduled to play Non-Public powerhouse Paramus Catholic in one of the prime-time games.

La Salle College High School, the defending 6A state champion in Pennsylvania, has replaced Winslow and will play Paramus Catholic on Friday, Aug. 28.

Winslow is seeking a new head coach after Bill Belton took the top job at St. Augustine Prep last month. The team will also be without all-state quarterback Jalen Parker, who is expected to transfer to Gloucester Catholic.

The showcase is being dubbed the “West Jersey Football League vs. Everybody.”

All 12 games will be at the famous Carey Stadium on the campus of Ocean City High School. The schedule runs from Aug. 27-29.

Opening day will feature two defending state champions with Cedar Creek and Washington Township playing in the first two games on Aug. 27.

Millville will face off against New York’s Erasmus Hall, which is ranked seventh in the Empire State, as the finale for the Battle at the Beach on Saturday night.
