For NFL Draft fans, there is nothing quite like the NFL combine. The testing is not much in terms of action, but regardless, it gets you on the edge of your seat for the first time since the Super Bowl.
On Friday, we get to see two position groups on the field with actual testing in the tight ends and defensive backs. Both are positions that the Bucs could use some help at this draft cycle, so we wanted to give you some players to watch today when testing begins at 1:00 p.m. EST on NFL Network.
In this piece, we will focus specifically on wide receivers. The Bucs don't have a need here, but in today's NFL, you never know when someone is going to be drafting a wide receiver. With that in mind, here are three players we are looking forward to seeing test at the NFL combine.
Ohio State has shown they are taking over the combine this week with the insane numbers they have been putting out. Carnell Tate is no exception, and I fully believe he will blow folks away if he tests. In doing so, he could secure himself a spot in the top ten of the draft if he even has an average day, but we all know he will do more than that.
KC Concepcion has been flirting with being a first-round pick, but on Saturday, he could become a constant in that conversation. The film shows how good his vision and movement skills are, but seeing how that translates to testing will be interesting to see. He could be the biggest winner of the day with some strong testing numbers.
Omar Cooper Jr. is in Daniel Jeremiah's top 20 prospects heading into the combine. Everyone remembers the flashy catch he made to secure Indiana's win over Penn State this year, but what if has some impressive numbers attached to his film? He has a chance to do just that and confirm the hype train that Jeremiah is conducting for him at the same time.
