We are officially in the home stretch, as we are just one week away from the NFL Draft in Green Bay. Teams have finalized their draft boards, barring any last-minute radical changes. As a result, general managers are now mapping out how things will go for their teams.
In the Bucs' case, Jason Licht and his staff will explore their options at pick 19 when they are on the clock.
Teams do mock drafts, the same as everyone else. This allows them to lay out different ideas of who will be available to them and whether it matches up with what they have on the board. If there is no player they like at that pick, they could explore a trade down. Jason Licht has proven he is always open to a trade down during his time with the Bucs, so we wanted to explore a couple of options for the team.
Here are three trade packages for the Bucs to trade back in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Trade: Bucs send the 19th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and a 2026 4th-round pick to the Giants for the 34th, 99th, and 105th overall picks in the 2025 NFL Draft and a 2026 2nd-round pick.
This move will have the Bucs moving back the furthest out of all the scenarios we will lay out in this piece. It would have the Bucs removing themselves from the first round altogether, but in turn, it also allows them to have the biggest return on investment. For the Bucs to take a deal like this, a couple of things need to be in place. For the Bucs, all the key pass rushers and Jihaad Campbell would have to be gone. For the Giants, Shedeur Sanders would have to still be on the board so they could leapfrog the Steelers at 21.
It may seem like a big jump backward, but having four picks in the top 100 picks in 2025 and three in 2026 is a nice thing to have in your pocket if you are Jason Licht.
Trade: Bucs send the 19th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to the Bills for the 30th, 56th, and 132nd overall picks in the 2025 NFL Draft
This move has the Bucs moving back 11 spots, but they will remain in the process that takes place on Thursday night next week. The Buffalo Bills make sense for a trade partner if one of the star wide receivers, like Matthew Golden or Tetairoa McMillan, finds themselves available at pick 19. The Chiefs have always jumped the Bills and gotten the better talent as a result. The time is now for the Bills to be aggressive, and the Bucs could oblige.
Trade: The Bucs send the 19th and 84th overall picks in the 2025 NFL Draft and a 2026 3rd-round pick to the Ravens for Mark Andrews, the 27th, 129th, and 136th overall picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, and a 2026 4th-round pick.
This is the biggest trade of the three we are proposing, but Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta opened the door for it when he didn't confirm that tight end Mark Andrews was a part of the team's plans moving forward. The Bucs have had some mild success at tight end with Cade Otton, but the idea of trading back and reuniting Baker Mayfield with his favorite target from his Heisman Trophy season may be too much to pass up.
Giving the Bucs Andrews complete this offense and making them the most complete unit in the entire NFL. Not to mention, it also gives Jason Licht two extra picks by moving back just eight spots, as well as an extra third-round pick next year.
