3 takeaways from Day 4 of Jets training camp: First time in full pads

New York Jets 2026 NFL training camp is underway and will be watched under a microscope each and every day. Especially with it being a make-or-break season for head coach Aaron Glenn as he enters his second season at the helm.

Throughout practices each day, updates are shared during the workouts which become intriguing and important notes.

In terms of Day 4 of training camp, what stood out the most?

Injuries to monitor​

The Jets added first-round rookie Kenyon Sadiq to their injury list but there was plenty of good news on the front. According to Glenn, Sadiq just had a "maintenance day" and the rest of the team's injuries should return soon:

AG says it’s not likely the #Jets will see Sweat, Ponds and Ossai this week.

“I want to be patient with those guys.”

Says it shouldn’t be much longer.

Defense, Minkah dominate pads​

Various reports suggest the defense was more in control during the first training camp practice that ha full pads on for the players. The rainy weather conditions probably did not help the offense, either.

But good news on the defensive front: The unit had an interception thanks to new safety Minkah Fitzpatrick:

Braelon's setting​

Again likely because of the weather, it allowed the running game on offense to flash a bit. Power rusher Braelon Allen reportedly was one that stood out with his opportunities in that setting:
