3 takeaways from Bills' 'Red and Blue' practice at new Highmark Stadium

The fanfare was all about the new look of Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park this weekend.

On Saturday, the Buffalo Bills held their annual "Red and Blue" training camp practice back in the Buffalo area after ending their stay out at St. John Fisher in Rochester. This time, it was less about the football being played at practice as much as it was about the first time fans were allowed to see action inside the new stadium.

But football did still go down.

With that, here are Bills Wire's three takeaways from the annual "Red and Blue" practice in Orchard Park:

New uniform makes debut​

Players have worn game uniforms in the past during the "Red and Blue" practice. This time, we had a twist. Players on offense and defense wore the full-time threads. The special teamers and quarterbacks had on a different look than everyone else: The new "Nickel City" alternate uniforms.

Allen puts on a show​

While head coach Joe Brady said it would mostly be a normal practice and not a scrimmage setting on Saturday, there were still team drills conducted. During those, Allen made a few memorable moments happen. He looked inspired by the new stadium:
