The Seattle Seahawks originally agreed to terms with 17 undrafted free agents following the 2025 NFL draft. Since then, general manager John Schneider actually waived two of them following unimpressive showings at rookie minicamp. The majority of undrafted signings were made on the defensive side of the ball. With competition to consider, we've identified three prospects who possess the best chance to compete for a roster spot.
Former Ole Miss defensive lineman DJ Ivey is probably the Seahawks' most popular UDFA, with wide-ranging expectations to make the 53-man roster. Ivey is flexible enough to play a versatile inside-outside role. That could increase his chances of making Mike Macdonald's defense.
The Seahawks gave former Utah Utes defensive end Connor O'Toole a massive deal with a reported base guarantee of $234,000. O'Toole is an intriguing prospect, having arrived on campus as a wide receiver before making the positional switch to the defensive side. Seattle is deep at the pass-rushing position, but they're obviously intrigued by his developmental traits.
Former LSU cornerback Zy Alexander possesses terrific size for the cornerback position at 6-foot-1 and 187 pounds. The Seahawks are searching for back-end depth behind Riq Woolen. Recent talks about a reunion with veteran cornerback Shaquill Griffin could impact Alexander's chances to make the roster.
