There’s a lot to like about the Los Angeles Rams’ haul in the 2025 NFL Draft. They came away with six players – three on offense, three on defense – and also added a first-round pick in next year’s draft, maneuvering the board with four total trades.
Grades from experts are mostly positive, with the Rams earning a cumulative GPA of 3.05 based on 24 different assessments from analysts.
ESPN’s Matt Miller highlighted the 100 best picks in the draft this year based on value, scheme fit, positional need and other factors. In those 100 picks, the Rams landed three players on the list.
Michigan edge rusher Josaiah Stewart came in at No. 68, with Ole Miss linebacker Chris Paul Jr. ranked 89th by Miller. Oregon tight end Terrance Ferguson, who the Rams picked 46th overall, was ranked as the 92nd-best pick in the draft.
Here’s what Miller wrote about the Stewart selection, which he really liked.
Miller had Paul ranked as the 128th-best player on his big board, so he feels the Rams got a great value at No. 172 overall.
It’s somewhat surprising that Miller included Ferguson in his top 100 considering the Rams picked him at No. 46 and he was ranked 84th on Miller’s board, but he loves the fit in Sean McVay’s offense.
We won't know exactly how good this class is for a few years but the early evaluations are positive from experts. And all six picks by the Rams will have a chance to contribute early on in their careers.

I spoke to a Rams source who said the team was looking for "highly productive players who love football." That reads like a line from Stewart's scouting report. He produced consistently the past two seasons and was a leader on Michigan's defense.

Paul dominated East-West Shrine Week following a strong 2024 season at middle linebacker. He doesn't have the size to be a top-100 pick, but the Rams got a steal at No. 172.

Ferguson went nearly 40 picks earlier than I expected, but it's hard to not love the fit with the Rams. His route running over the middle is fantastic, which is a hallmark of Sean McVay's offense.
