The New England Patriots will have a triple threat of primetime games for the 2025 season.
They have a Week 5 Sunday Night Football matchup on the road against the Buffalo Bills slated for October 5. There is also a Thursday Night Football game against the New York Jets scheduled for November 13 at Gillette Stadium. Finally, the Patriots will finish up their primetime slate with a December 1 Monday Night Football clash against the New York Giants.
This is certainly a marked change from the 2024 season. The Patriots only had one primetime game last year, and it came in Week 3 against the Jets.
They are expected to be an improved football team with the arrival of Mike Vrabel as head coach and a dramatic roster shakeup in the offseason.
The game against the Bills will give us another look at Drake Maye going head-to-head with Josh Allen. It will also give the Patriots an opportunity to knock off the team many expect to win the AFC East this year.
They'll also have two favorable matchups on paper against the Jets and Giants at home. Those two primetime games are within a three-week span and followed by a Week 14 bye week.
