Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has agreed to become the Las Vegas Raiders' new head coach, according to multiple national reports. Kubiak will leave the Seahawks for the Raidersafter Super Bowl LX. Head coach Mike Macdonald will be tasked with replacing his offensive coordinator for a second straight offseason.
Macdonald may consider his in-house options to replace Kubiak. There are also external candidates who should garner consideration. We've identified three in particular.
Former Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan may be better suited as an offensive coordinator. Callahan struggled with lead duties in Tennessee, but was viewed as an ascending offensive coach after coordinating Joe Burrow with the Bengals. He's interviewed for multiple OC vacancies this offseason.
Kliff Kingsbury possesses one of the better offensive minds in the NFL. He's coached two Offensive Rookie of the Year quarterbacks in Jayden Daniels and Kyler Murray. Kingsbury was surprisingly dismissed from Washington earlier this offseason after philosophical differences with head coach Dan Quinn. He's interviewed for both head coaching and OC openings since then.
Greg Roman is a potential outside-the-box candidate. He's currently interviewing for the New York Jets' offensive coordinator job. Roman had a successful stint as the Baltimore Ravens' OC from 2019-22, crossing paths with Macdonald.
