The Philadelphia 76ers will head into the 2026 offseason led by a new head of the basketball department with Mike Gansey replacing Daryl Morey as the team's President of Basketball Operations. Gansey has spent the last 14 years with the Cleveland Cavaliers and will be looking to help push the Sixers up the ladder in the East.

Gansey and Co., of course, need to focus on Tuesday's draft first. However, it doesn't hurt to look ahead into the summer and see who the Sixers could possibly add to the roster in other moves. Philadelphia has enough cap space to add in free agency, but there are also players who can be acquired in trades who can help the Sixers right now.

Here are three players who make sense as potential trade targets in the summer:

Scotty Pippen Jr.

2025-26 stats: 11.4 ppg, 4.7 apg, 2.2 rpg, 1.9 spg, 44.8% FG, 31.3% 3FG

Limited to just 10 games in 2025-26 due to a bothersome toe injury, Pippen would be a nice addition to Philadelphia's bench unit. He is a shifty guard, who can get to the basket, make plays for others, and can take pressure off Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe as another ball-handler. The Grizzlies have a glut of point guards in the form of Ty Jerome and Walter Clayton Jr., plus Ja Morant still, on the roster. That makes Pippen a prime trade candidate for the offseason and the Sixers should swoop in and see if they can acquire the guard to stabilize the second unit.

Terrence Shannon Jr.

2025-26 stats: 5.6 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 0.9 apg, 0.3 spg, 45% FG, 40.8% 3FG

Shannon has had trouble cracking the rotation with the Timberwolves, but he is coming off a fantastic playoff run in 2026. He averaged 11.8 points in 22.6 minutes in an expanded role for coach Chris Finch and Co. in Minnesota. The Sixers could use another athletic wing player who can take on tough assignments on the defensive end, be a presence in transition, and knock down an open 3-pointer on catch-and-shoot opportunities. He is a player who can make a difference on the wing in big situations.

Justin Champagnie

2025-26 stats: 8.7 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.2 apg, 0.9 spg, 50.2% FG, 31.9% 3FG

The brother of San Antonio's Julian, there is a lot that Champagnie brings to the table. He is another wing, a position of importance in today's NBA, and he is a versatile player on the defensive end. He can knock down a 3-pointer and would likely thrive playing around Joel Embiid, Maxey, and Paul George rather than the younger pieces with the Wizards. Versatility, shooting, and wing players are important in today's NBA and Champagnie fills that need for Philadelphia.
