3 LIV golfers advanced through final qualifying to make British Open field

There will be 12 LIV Golfers representing the league at the 2026 Open Championship.

There were nine players already exempt: Laurie Canter, Bryson DeChambeau, Tyrrell Hatton, Lucas Herbert, Tom McKibbin, Joaquin Niemann, Louis Oosthuizen, Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith.

There were another 10 entered in final qualifying on Tuesday, June 30. There were originally 11, but Dustin Johnson withdrew, ending his major streak at 71. Of the 10 who went through with final qualifying, three advanced to the Open.

• Josele Ballester, who tied for second (70-65―135) at West Lancashire after making birdie at the final hole of the day
• Peter Uihlein, who finished solo fourth (66-69―135) at Royal Cinque Ports
• Caleb Surrat, who was solo second (67-66―133) at Royal Cinque Ports

• Marc Leishman, T-10 (5 under) at Burnham & Berrow
• Luis Masaveu, T-11 (5 under) at Royal Cinque Ports
• Thomas Detry, T-21 (1 under) at Royal Cinque Ports
• Sergio Garcia, T-30 (1 under) at West Lancashire
• Anirban Lahiri, T-38 (3 over) at Burnham & Berrow
• Branden Grace, retired at Royal Cinque Ports
• Dean Burmester, retired at Royal Cinque Ports
