ESPN’s Field Yates has released an updated mock draft prior to the NFL draft in April. The Georgia Bulldogs continue to produce elite NFL talent on a yearly basis, as the analyst projects three former Bulldogs to be selected in the first- and second-round.

Yates’ mock draft features Georgia offensive tackle Monroe Freeling at No. 13, linebacker CJ Allen at No. 34, and defensive tackle Christen Miller at No. 44. Freeling is projected to be drafted by the Los Angeles Rams (previously the Atlanta Falcons' first-round pick), while Allen lands with the Buffalo Bills. Yates has Miller being drafted by the New York Jets in the middle part of the second-round.

Monroe Freeling is considered to be one of the top offensive linemen available in the draft. At 6-foot-7, 315 pounds, Freeling is an extremely athletic and versatile lineman despite weighing over 300 pounds. The former Georgia star ran an impressive 4.93 second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. The talented lineman can make an impact from day one of his NFL career, as Freeling will likely be selected at the top of the first-round in April.

CJ Allen is projected to be a late first round pick by a multitude of analysts despite Yates listing the linebacker at No. 34. The talented defender recorded 88 total tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 3.5 sacks and a fumble recovery on the Dawgs’ defense last season, as Allen would be a steal in the second round should he find himself sliding on draft night. Allen could be an instant difference-maker to begin his NFL career in similar fashion to Freeling, as the talented linebacker was a star throughout his time with the Dawgs in Athens.

Miller is a massive defensive lineman that could be an excellent player in the NFL with the proper development. At 6-foot-4, 320 pounds, Miller would be an excellent fit on the Jets’ defensive line following the departure of Quinnen Williams last season, as the former Georgia star would find himself fighting for a starting role should Yates’ prediction hold. Miller recorded 23 total tackles and 1.5 sacks last season, as the lineman will more than likely be selected in the second- or third-round of the draft.

The trio of former Georgia football stars have seen their time in Athens end, but each player is talented and will be fun to watch throughout their rookie campaigns in the NFL this fall.
