The Buffalo Bills worked their way through the 2026 NFL Draft and made noise in their own way.

General manager Brandon Beane worked a lot of trade magic. The Bills moved out of the first round entirely after three trades and more kept on coming.

After all of that work, here are Bills Wire's three quick takeaways from the 2026 draft:

With all eyes on him after the dismissal of Sean McDermott, Beane worked out numerous trades throughout the draft. In the end, the Bills made 10 picks and Beane showed how much he covets Day 3 selections. It appears that's still a staple of his, but several of those picks have worked out in the past such as linebacker Matt Milano and wide receiver Gabe Davis.

A draft pick in the second round (or late first round) is a Beane interest still. Over the years, he has continually picked edge defenders in this area of the draft, and again, post-McDermott that continued with the selection of TJ Parker.

Not only did the Bills take Parker in Round 2, cornerback Davison Igbinosun was the next pick. That's two defenders in the second round. The Bills and Beane did not bring quarterback Josh Allen help in these top picks.... once again.
