The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Rhode Island Rams in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Alabama will enter March Madness as the No. 6 seed in the Regional 3 - Fort Worth bracket, as the Tide held an overall record of 23-10 during the regular season. Alabama went 7-9 throughout SEC play as well, as the Tide will now turn their full attention towards defeating the Rams in the opening round of the NCC Tournament.
Here are three bold predictions for Alabama’s NCAA Tournament matchup vs. Rhode Island.
Timmons has played a crucial role on the offensive end of the floor throughout the entire 2025-26 campaign. The star senior was elite during Alabama’s SEC Tournament upset over Tennessee, as Timmons recorded 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting in the victory over the Lady Vols.
The Crimson Tide guard will undoubtedly need to be at her best against Rhode Island on Saturday afternoon, as Timmons will look to stay hot offensively throughout the remainder of the postseason.
Scott has been an excellent second option behind Timmons on the offensive end of the floor this season. The talented guard recorded 20 points during Alabama’s win over Tennessee, as the Tide will more than likely continue turning to Scott on offense throughout the entirety of the NCAA Tournament.
Scott and the Tide will need to start fast against the Rams, as the talented senior could shine yet again on Saturday.
Weathers has been nothing short of elite in all aspects of her game this season. The star senior leads the Tide in rebounds, assists and steals per game, as Weathers has been the ultimate playmaker throughout the 2025-26 season.
Weathers was credited with an extremely impressive 16 rebounds during the Tide’s SEC Tournament win over Missouri, as the talented senior will look to stay red hot against the Rams in Louisville.
