The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford to officially begin SEC play this weekend.

The Tide have been nothing short of elite to begin the 2026 campaign. Alabama currently holds an extremely impressive overall record of 20-0, as the Tide have been red hot, both in the circle, as well as at the plate throughout the months of February and March.

The Rebels currently own a respectable 18-5 record to begin the season, as Alabama will look to begin conference play in authoritative fashion this weekend.

Here are three bold takes for Alabama’s clash with Ole Miss this weekend.

Brooke Wells continues to shine, records 3+ hits

Wells has played a crucial role in the Tide’s lineup this season. The talented infielder went 4-for-5 across Alabama’s two victories last Saturday, as Wells continues to shine both offensively and defensively to begin the 2026 campaign. The star sophomore thrived throughout the Tide’s time in Tallahassee as well, as Wells could quickly heat up at the plate throughout this weekend’s series against Ole Miss.

Jocelyn Briski thrives in the circle, records 8+ strikeouts

Briski has been widely regarded as a top pitcher in all of college softball in 2026. The star flamethrower was named the SEC Pitcher of the Week last week, as Briski recorded a head-turning 15 shutout innings across three appearances for the Tide to end the month of February.

Briski could certainly pick up right where she left off against Ole Miss this weekend, as the talented pitcher will more than likely thrive once again against the Rebels.

Alexis Pupillo stays red hot at the plate, records 4+ hits

Pupillo has been red hot at the plate so far this season. The talented senior has played a crucial offensive role for the Tide this season, as Pupillo was recently named as the Softball America Star Player of the Week as a result.

The star utility player will more than likely stay hot at the plate against the Rebels this weekend, as Pupillo has been nothing short of elite to begin the 2026 campaign.

Alabama will face Ole Miss in a three game series beginning on Friday, as the Tide will look to begin SEC play with a string of wins over the Rebels.
