Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 basketball signing class.

Four-star small forward Malachi Jordan named Tennessee in his top eight schools, along with Alabama, Kansas, UConn, Ohio State, USC, Vanderbilt and Washington, according to Joe Tipton of On3.

The 6-foot-7, 225-pound prospect is from Nashville, Tennessee and plays for Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 5 small forward in the class and No. 8 player from Florida.

Tennessee was the first school to offer Jordan a scholarship on May 6, 2024. He will officially visit Tennessee on Sept. 26.

Other schools to offer Jordan scholarships include Arizona State, Texas Tech, Tennessee State, Alabama A&M, Missouri, Memphis, Indiana, Auburn, Louisiana, Miami, BYU, Baylor and West Virginia.

Tennessee does not have a commitment in its 2027 basketball recruiting class. The Vols have four commitments in their 2026 basketball recruiting class: small forward Ralph Scott, power forward Manny Green, point guard Marquis Clark and power forward Chris Washington Jr.
