Among all the positions on the Oregon Ducks' roster, there's an argument that the running back room possesses the most top-heavy talent. Both Jordon Davison and Dierre Hill Jr. are returning for their true sophomore seasons after phenomenal debut campaigns with the Ducks. But beyond the, there's question marks regarding the depth of the group.

Four-star 2026 enrollees Tradarian Ball and Brandon Smith are talented and may be contributors in the future, but that's not stopping head coach Dan Lanning and offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer from continuing to add talent to that position.

Standout 2027 running back Noah Roberts released his top 10 schools in December, with the Ducks on the list. He's now narrowed his visit list this spring down to five schools: Texas (March 13), Miami (April 4), Michigan (April 6), Notre Dame (April 18) and Oregon (April 25). Tennessee, USC and Ohio State are reportedly still in the mix as well, though Roberts told Rivals' Brandon Huffman that he doesn't have exact visit dates scheduled for those schools yet.

Roberts, standing 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, is rated as a four-star and the No. 18 running back and No. 269 player overall, per 247 Sports Composite. He competes for Basha High School in Chandler, AZ, where he's the fourth-ranked player in the state. He has the complete package from the running back position, using his speed to break away from would-be tacklers and using his power to run through them.

Cadarius McMiller is the lone running back commit fro the Ducks as part of the 2027 class, with Roberts the next target for Lanning and Mehringer to land.
