With the 2026 recruiting class largely in the books for the Oregon Ducks, Dan Lanning and his staff have already long turned their sights to the 2027 class, of which they currently have just two commits to date. While it's still early in the process, the Ducks are pushing hard for a number of highly-ranked prospects, with one of them being four-star athlete Bode Sparrow.
Sparrow released the final 10 schools that he's considering in his recruitment, including Oregon alongside Utah, BYU, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Arizona State and Michigan.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder is a four-star and the No. 3 athlete in the 2027 class and the No. 67 player overall, per 247 Sports Composite. He's also the No. 1 player in Utah, coming out of Davis High School in Kaysville, UT.
Sparrow played both wide receiver and safety in high school, excelling on both sides of the ball and still keeping his options open on what side he'll play at the college level.
In 2024, he recorded 994 yards and 16 touchdowns as a wide receiver and 59 tackles and 9 interceptions as a safety, showcasing his all-around talent and versatility.
Currently loaded at both the wide receiver and safety positions, Lanning and Co. are trying to make sure it stays that way with their recruitment of Sparrow who has the talent to fill either one of the those spots with the Ducks.
