Texas A&M football head coach Mike Elko just landed a massive addition to the 2027 class, as Cleveland, Ohio, St. Ignatius wide receiver Trey Haddad announced his commitment to the Aggies.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder chose Texas A&M over schools like West Virginia, Kansas, Buffalo, Miami (Ohio), Louisville and Michigan State. Haddad's commitment to the Maroon and White comes after his official visit to Bryan-College Station over the weekend. He is a talented and explosive route runner who isn't afraid to use his physicality to locate the football and attack in traffic.
His announcement marks the 21st commitment of the 2027 recruiting class and is the third recruit from the Midwest, where Elko has succeeded in hauling in some of the top prospects in the country.
In 2025, Haddad racked up 35 receptions for 548 yards and five touchdowns during his junior campaign. Football roots run deep in his family, as his father played at Buffalo before going on to play in the NFL. His brother, Cody, played at Ohio State and then transferred to Iowa.
Haddad himself is the No. 1677 overall prospect in the class and ranks No. 218 at the position. He is also the No. 75 player in his home state of Ohio.
Texas A&M has no shortage of highly-rated recruits from the 2027 class, as they boast the No. 1 overall class in the cycle to this point, according to 247Sports. That includes 10 commitments inside the top 100 and five-star tackle Mark Matthews and defensive lineman Zyron Forstall.
