Offensive lineman Sam Pendleton enters his second season at Tennessee in 2026.
The 6-foot-4, 315-pound redshirt junior appeared in 13 games, including 13 starts, for the Vols in 2025. He served as Tennessee’s starting center and recorded 814 offensive snaps last season.
Pendleton was named to the 2025 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll.
He committed to Tennessee on Jan. 24, 2025 after transferring from Notre Dame. Pendleton appeared in 16 games, including seven starts at left guard, for the Fighting Irish from 2023-24. He has allowed three sacks in 1,321 snaps during his career.
Pendleton is from Reagan High School in Pfafftown, North Carolina. Tennessee offered him a scholarship while attending junior day on Jan. 22, 2022.

Tennessee will kick off its 2026 football season Sept. 5 versus Furman at Neyland Stadium. The season opener is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EDT (SEC Network+).
The Vols will also host Kennesaw State, Texas, Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky and LSU, while playing at Georgia Tech, Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt during the 2026 campaign.
