Fleming is showing his game this summer. He is playing like a SF not a PF. In fact, he is playing the Dunn, Mikal Bridges type of 3 and D wing role. I was hoping he would be more of a pf.
yup - he's doing small forward things in summer league but we've seen him run the 5 in small ball - i think he's trying to perfect the small forward 3andD role

Yeah, he does play more like a 3. Maybe not the worst thing in the world if koa develops.

He finally had a good game, but he basically just did what he did for us last season. His game has not progressed.

When we had Peat, Maluach, and Fleming out there, I thought having Fleming at the SF role was awesome! In fact, the minutes those three were together, they showed real chemistry. I could honestly see them as our future starting front line. I think if Fleming is the spot up three shooter in that scenario it helps space the floor. It was also cool Fleming was slowing down the PGs, Maluach took the biggest guy, and Peat was all over the place picking up guys. It was alos cool how they played those three in different pairs, and allowed them all to play center at some points, etc. It gave you a good look at their skills. I really enjoyed this year's summer league.

Was checking the schedule today and we aren't on it for at least Thursday or Friday.
Looks like the consolation and playoff games start on Saturday. It also looks like Friday is the consolation games for the teams that are already eliminated from the playoff.

I think we are waiting for some teams to play their fourth game before we find out if the Suns play in the semifinals although probably not likely with the low point differential.

We will find out tonight.

a trinary star system consists of three suns - that's essentially what our summer league has become

all 3 shining brightly

people are already trying to compare fleming and koa - i see them as complementary - koa banging inside - fleming banging 3s outside

some people have been disappointed with fleming's performance in summer league but not me - i see a method actor fully committing to his new role

rasheer didn't forget how to cut to the basket - he can still drive - dunk and/or dish but why would he when we have koa peat - who definitely can't hit the 3

i don't think they'll compete for minutes - i think they'll be joined at the hip - them and maluach who is also most complementary - how are they going to stop koa with manman camping in the dunker's spot

they can't unless they sink their other forward into help which leaves rasheer open for the 3

if fleming can consistently hit the 3 this year he's going to see a lot of playing time - he has the easiest/clearest path to playing - play defense - rebound - nail the 3 - fleming is replacing grayson/oneale

fleming can play with the starters - the bench mob and within the trinary star system

maluach? i don't want to keep putting him on a pedestal but damn - he's only improved on everything - double double dot com with exquisite rim protection- and deadly from 3

koa peat had a phenomenal summer league - partly due to fleming's 3 and manman sucking all the air out of the arena but the bully ball is for real - you can't fake that skill

That first half of the summer game with the Trail Blazers scared me though. The team looked like they hadn't practiced.

It could be a formidable front line, for sure.

7'1-250 Man
6'9-240 Fleming
6'8-245 Koa

Their skill sets actually would work together and it would be a hell of core to build around.

The team must be pumping cool-aid into our drinking water. We are in bad financial shape, have few draft picks, an over paid star, and we hired a felon; and still, I couldn't be more excited for the season to start and for the future direction of the franchise.

People keep saying we are in "bad" financial shape. We aren't. Think about when we were in 2nd apron territory. Now that was bad financial state.

We're making moves, no more or no less than most any other team. So this "we are in the worst shape of our lives" attitude simply isn't true.

Bad may be an over statement, but we have no cap space and pay 20 to 25 mil. each of the next four seasons to players who aren't on the team.

True, but we aren't the only ones, and it hasn't hampered us from making moves and being creative.

Yeah, of course, we'd LOVE to not have to pay Bradley Beal's huge salary while he's not on the team, and it does affect the size of a potential deal/signing, but at the end of the day, it's not keeping the team from doing other things.

Understandable. How long until preseason? I will try to get some NFL to make the wait shorter.
