Two nuggets per Gambo:

1) Suns will not give Mark Williams more than two years or 17 mil per.

2) Suns will trade up from 47.
I really wish the Suns would not be willing to give him more than 1 year. We don't need any chance of more dead cap.

2/17 would be a good deal for Mark personally, especially if its possible to get a player option on year 2. The Suns are a team that will work with him healthwise, and have enough depth at center not to overuse him. If he can get through a season or two healthy, he could then cash in.

I really hope they've got something up their sleeve when free agency opens.

The 4 shooting guard + 1 big lineups don't work.

Not for us but that's basically what the Knicks, Spurs, and OKC all run. They all have better 5's than us, which makes a big difference. They also have guys who can come in and help their C in various fashions.

I don't want to sound to negative, because I do think we're trending in the right direction, but... no... those teams can get away with loading up on wings because their wings are versatile.

We need to convince Green to come off the bench. The Green, Booker, Brooks, lineups were putrid to watch, especially in comparison to the first part of the year when the ball movement was so crisp.

The Phoenix Suns will be hard-capped at the second apron for the 2026-27 season. This is because the Suns used cash in the trade to acquire the 30th pick to select Koa Peat.

I am wondering if there is a chance a Royce + Grayson + Dunn for Miles Turner deal is realistic.

This roster as currently constructed makes no sense - far too many 6'5-6'8 guys with similar skill sets has created massive redundancy. There have to be some moves in the making here.

Yup, that should be obvious to everyone. I would wager at minimum, they are trying to move Dunn, Allen, O'Neale, and S+T Williams. Possibly another surprise name could be in there, too. They may not be successful, but 100% at least a few of those they want to clear out.

You don't bring your 2nd or 3rd best player off the bench. This isn't happening.

I don't agree with you that they were putrid, are they an ideal group no, but you don't make a deal just to make a deal.

You and I view Green very very differently.

The only reason I don't endorse trading him away for... anything, is because I think his contract is underwater and we'd have to attach other assets just to move off him, and that isn't worth it.

18 points on 16 shots is not top-3 player efficiency. You have to limit his usage or he’ll shoot you out of a game. The flip side is he can get hot but he’s got no off switch. Ott needs to nut up and make him the 6th man.

Maybe the Suns will now turn their attention to UDFAs and Mark Williams.

Gambo also said today, that Bradley Beal is still influencing what the Suns are doing now. The $20+ million we pay Beal is making life very difficult with adding or paying who we have and not going over the aprons. Adding another player in the second round would be another salary they would have to account for. They are likely going over the first apron with Peat and Williams contracts. Barring any trades where they are able to shed some salary. The problem is most teams don't have space under the aprons. To get full relief from the salary we trade away, the other team would have to have full space for the salary we are sending. It's going to be real interesting the minutes for guys with all the guys on the roster.
