The NFL has set its salary cap for 2026. It is jumping by $22 million.

Per multiple reports, the league notified the 32 teams that the salary cap in 2026 will be $301.2 million.

This is the very bottom of the original projections, which were set between $301.2 million and $305.7 million.

It marks the first time that the salary cap is over $300 million. It was $279.2 million in 2025. it is an increase of $7.9%.

According to Over the Cap, the Arizona Cardinals are 13th in the league in cap space with $31.7 million.

Since 2021, when the cap went down to $182 million after the pandemic-impacted 2020 season, it has increased by $119 million, jumping by more than $20 million four times, including the last three years.

The cap went over $200 million for the first time in 2022. Now, in just four years, it is surpassing $300 million.
