The Atlanta Falcons hired head coach Kevin Stefanski over the weekend, but they still need to find a new general manager. Falcons president of football Matt Ryan led the charge to hire Stefanski and will do the same in the search for Atlanta's next GM.
One obstacle that the team's future general manager will have to account for is not having a first-round draft pick in 2026. Atlanta sent that selection to the Los Angeles Rams to move up for edge rusher James Pearce Jr. in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Falcons don't have any regrets about trading up for Pearce, though. After all, the defense finished second in the NFL with 57 sacks last season, and Pearce's 10.5 sacks led the team. Third-round pick Xavier Watts led all rookies with five interceptions as well.
So, while the Falcons don't have a first-round pick this year, the NFL draft is seven rounds long for a reason. Check out the team's list of current selections in the 2026 NFL Draft below.
The Falcons are bringing back defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, which is good news for Pearce and Watts. Plus, the team hired offensive line coach Bill Callahan on Tuesday. Atlanta still needs to hire an offensive coordinator, although, former Browns OC Tommy Rees is considered the favorite.
