As we reach Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft, Yahoo Sports NFL draft analyst Charles McDonald continues to judge every pick of Rounds 2 and 3 on Friday night.

Here's how he rated rated Round 1 of the draft on Thursday.

1 (33 overall). San Francisco 49ers (via Jets): De’Zhaun Stribling, WR, Ole Miss

Grade: C

The 49ers took a risk here by taking the Ole Miss product, but they need to keep building out their wide receiver room for the future, especially now that they have Mike Evans in the fold. Stribling is raw, but has the athleticism they love.

2 (34). Arizona Cardinals: Chase Bisontis, G, Texas A&M

Grade: A-

Bisontis is a high-upside, high-floor offensive lineman who can boost the Cardinals' run game that now features Jeremiyah Love and Tyler Allgeier.

4 (36). Houston Texans (via Raiders): Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State

Grade: A

McDonald absolutely could have gone in the first round of the draft, but ended up here where the Texans swooped in and got a rare playmaker at nose tackle for a defense that likes to play aggressively. Getting a highly productive 330-pound player for this defense was exactly what they needed as their defensive tackle room gets older.
