It appears Jonas Valanciunas is still available. I wish the Suns had him on their roster.
Who do we get rid of? We backed ourselves into a corner financially. I don't know we can afford any pricy free agents at this point. Pretty much have to trade now.

Deandre Ayton is traded to the Wizards.

Shams is a big fat liar!

"The Wizards took a patient approach to the start of free agency and now land a durable, reliable center to join Anthony Davis and Alex Sarr in the frontcourt."

For that price, I'd have considered trading for Ayton. The Suns could survive nicely on rotation centers.

Yeah, but DURABLE, and R-E-L-I-A-B-L-E? We all waited for yaers for Ayton to be reliable. We prayed for it. We dreamed about it. We beat that subject into the ground. Shams, Ayton, reliable? The Lakers, a center away from having a good starting five, wanted Ayton to go away! Ayton, the guy who proclaimed he was the best Center in Laker history? OMG. I spit out my coffee when I saw what Shams wrote. Does Shams watch ANY basketball? LMAO!

The Suns and fans wanted Ayton to be that superstar he never was. I'd settle for him being a solid rotation center.

Seriously doubt we'll see Anthony Davis in a Wizards uniform moving forward.

lukas just wanted to de-deandre

all they got was a backup sniper (who's no where near kennard) and a couple 2nd round picks - the lukas are still first-roundless lol

I think we ALL would have even taken that. Dude would put on an all world show in a game to show you he could do it. Then he'd take 3 weeks off. Reliable. Uh no. I want my back up to have that as one of his strengths.

He proved who he was here. Sitting out the elimination game vs Denver in his last run here showed he was irredeemable. I wouldn't take him back on the minimum because he can't be trusted to suit up, let alone play hard.

The Houston Rockets are trading Dorian Finney-Smith and three second-round picks to the Charlotte Hornets, sources tell ESPN.

Do your really still not understand why he was traded for so little? HE IS TOXIC.

The Lakers wanted him gone whatever the price. They would have cut him if they had to.

I guess I use a curve when grading players. Everything has to be weighted. On a cheap contract, he is more than serviceable.

I never forget what a player can do though.

Haven't you ever been around a person whose personality is so bad you don't care how good they are at their job, you just want them gone? That's what Ayton is. He brings down the whole team's performance because everyone hates him, then he sulks and doesn't give a crap about giving effort, which only makes the others hate him more.

It's a doom cycle, and it is pretty clear to everyone at this point except you I guess that he isn't getting out of it. That's why he just got banished to Washington, and likely he will be out of the league next year.
