LPGA rookie Yana Wilson has withdrawn from the Amundi Evian Championship due to illness, her agent confirmed. Wilson, who won the Dow Championship last month with partner Gina Kim, was replaced in the field by Narin An. Wilson had not yet made the trip over to Europe when she withdrew on Monday morning.
Currently 33rd in the CME Race of the Globe standings, 19-year-old Wilson will make her next appearance at the ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open, followed by the AIG Women's British Open at Royal Lytham & St. Annes.
The promising young American tied for 49th in the first major of the season, the Chevron Championship. She didn't qualify for the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera and missed the cut at the recent KPMG Women's PGA.
The Amundi Evian is the fourth major of the season on the LPGA schedule and takes place July 9-12 in Evian-les-Bains, France. The field of 132 will compete for a purse of $9.1 million.
