NFL mock draft season is officially in full swing, and every NFL pundit is making their best guesses on who which teams will be taking early in the draft.
For the Buffalo Bills, most experts have been heavily predicting that they will draft a defensive player in round one. We have mostly seen predictions of edge defenders, interior defensive linemen, and cornerback for the Bills.
CBS Sports NFL Analyst Peter Prisco is the latest to take a swing at who the Bills will favor when pick No. 30 rolls around late next month. He has the Bills going with a cornerback in round one as the team is now without starter Rasul Douglas and they also recently traded away former first-round corner Kaiir Elam.
CB Maxwell Hairston out of Kentucky is Prisco's target for the Bills, and he believes Hairston has the ability to become one of the top two corners in the draft class along with Texas' Jahdae Barron.
"When I watch Hairston's tape, he's a guy that not only can cover in man-to-man situations, but he's willing to go hit you," Prisco said on an episode of One Bills Live. "That's something that you don't see a lot and I know the Bills are big on their corners being able to tackle."
Hairston tested greatly at the NFL Combine, running a 4.28 40-yard dash and recording a 39.5" vertical leap.
According to NFL.com draft analyst Lance Zierlein, Hairston is capable of playing all forms of zone and man coverage, he anticipates well with his eyes, and he has the burst to take the ball away.
Hairston has recorded six interceptions, including three returned for touchdowns, over his last 20 games played.
