The 2025 Masters gets underway this week and Southwest Florida golf fans will have a local rooting interest.
Naples resident Noah Kent will be at Augusta National competing in the first major tournament of the season. It's a huge opportunity for the 20-year-old amateur, who qualified for the Masters thanks to a runner-up finish at the U.S. Amateur Championship last summer.
Kent, a two-time Southwest Florida Boys Golfer of the Year while at Gulf Coast High, will be one of five amateurs competing at the Masters this week. Ken Venturi's runner-up finish in 1956 is the best performance ever by an amateur in the tournament.
For the first two rounds of the Masters, Kent will be playing alongside World Golf Hall of Famer Berhard Langer, who is making his 41st Masters start and is a two-time winner, and Will Zalatoris, who has seven top-10 finishes in major championships. The group tees off at 8:35 a.m. Thursday and 11:49 a.m. Friday.
Here's how to watch Kent at the Masters.
The 89th edition of the Masters behind on Thursday, April 10 and concludes on Sunday, April 13.
