It appears the Suns may not go with a more obvious HC if they are asking permission for assistants.
May not be any need asking to interview Lue, if the price is too high to pry him away from LA. Nurse would be the wildcard right now, IMO. Obviously Ishbia is casting a wide net.

Lue's main assistant is getting some run, at least by NBA pundits as a possible good HC.

I hope we hire a highly regarded offensive minded first time NBA Head Coach and surround him with at least a couple strong defensive minded Assistants. One or more of whom should have a previous stint as an NBA coach on his resume.

Darko or Young seem to be the frontrunners, IMO. I'd be happy with either or if the Suns pulled a Miami and promote their video coordinator to Head Coach. They did that and have been set at head coach for over a decade. Would help to have our own Udonis Haslem type here as an end of bench enforcer and player who sort of helps personify the culture the team wants.

Even if the #3 pick is going to a third team I can’t imagine Ayton having anywhere near that kind of value.

Holy crap… if we could somehow swing Ayton for the #3 pick and additional pieces, it will be a freaking miracle.

Portland will hate that deal the day it's completed. But looking at their cap situation, IDK how that happens without attaching someone like Nurkic et al to that #3 pick. Methinks a third team would have to get involved.

I like this a lot. Scoot Henderson would be incredible.

Clearly a mistake by Flex. Portland also has the 43rd pick.

Me neither. But I’d take scoot and not look back.

I minimally consider Simons as a combo guard and a budding star. That would be huge for the Suns to get him.

He could play with Booker.

There is just no way Ayton basically nets us Simons and the 3rd pick in a great draft.

If that miracle happens, I will leave the board forever.
its Not impossible. dame doesn’t want rookies.

he is their best young player, they aren’t going to include him.

nurkic, garbage and the 3rd pick is more than enough.
