Well it just seems ironic. In McDs defense who would have known Knights stay here would be such a disaster

McDonough is really impressed with Knight's maturity after the injury. It would be awesome if he turned into the player the Suns once thought he was... and additionally have all the assets accrued when the Suns did not have or use him.

Doing a little more research on King. He's an interesting prospect at 59. He's actually 24 years old, which I view as a good thing given that the Suns need more mature players and also that it gives a reason he may be better than the 59th best prospect in this draft. Here's some interesting info I found:

"On the NBA’s pre-draft workout circuit, the 6-foot-6 King has been putting a lot of his game on the court. It started, most importantly, with a strong showing at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament in April. In three games there, King averaged 18.0 points, made seven 3-pointers, shot 57.9 percent from the field and 53 percent from the arc, averaged 7.7 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game.

That performance earned him an invite to the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. His measurables there stood out as much as his game. At 6-feet, 11.5 inches, King measured the sixth-longest reach of any SG/SF at the draft combine. He had a pair of the biggest hands at the combine as well."

There was also 5 minute interviews with each player sitting with Lindsey Smith afterwards. They said they were doing all of the picks but I quit watching after Okobo's sitdown. It was worth watching his, I'd say. He seems like a good kid. His english isn't great but I thought it was nice to get an idea of who he was as a person. Of course you may not care about that but I found it neat. The press conference was solid though, Ayton stood out but all 4 of the picks were on stage with McD, James Jones, and Igor. They all fielded questions, even Igor so I'll keep an out for it also.

It caught me off guard. I was trying to convince myself it was Okobo.

Okobo could be my favorite Sun by the time the year starts. He seems like a french Leandro to me, which is awesome. That interview I linked above is a good watch, it's fun at least. The Suns really added some guys with quality character it seems, which is nice to see.

Ayton is the right pick for you, Bridges is also fantastic. I have also watched Okobo this year in France and he is one of my favorite prospects from Europe. You will be satisfied with him. I would say that the Spurs get reasonably good players on the regular from the draft. Not like grabbing a Nash later in the first round good, but they at least get serviceable role players.

2 picks after the Suns took Markieff lol and Jimmers went 10 before Klay Thompson. Paving the way for Spurs and Warriors Success and for the Kings and Suns to spiral to the lower abyss of the NBA

Teams passed on Dejounte Murray last season for similar reason and Murray after just his rookie season has developed into a top 3 defender at the PG position.

I’ll trust the Sours judgement on this. Last pick they had in the teens was Kawhi Leonard and I’d say he’s worked out well.
