? I respect the hell out of Harry's opinion. I remember him being one of the only ones who knew David Johnson was going to be a beast
Harry knows a lot but
as I remember correctly, after senior bowl and combine many of us were making his name for the 3th round

Steve Keim gushed over Korey Cunningham. He said Cunningham ran a 4.9-second 40 and had a 36-inch vertical. Both, Keim said, were "off the charts."

Two measures that correlate very little to offensive line success.

Removed from having quick feet and technique playing tackle on the end, I really have come to believe that playing on the interior OL comes down to two things, you have to be big and perpetually pissed off. The whole idea about drafting a guard or center early is ridiculous to me when so many starting guards end up being late round picks. Draft a durable big guy who is nasty and let the coach do his job. Cunningham is athletic, they can teach him if he is a student of the game to play tackle. Mason Cole is big and mean, playing at a major university noted for their OL... check :raccoon:

Guys I went to dinner to try to quiet my frustration. This guy is not useful. This guy answers a question I often get, “Does a good athlete always mean a good player.” The obvious answer is no.

I was thinking about this as well after the Cole pick... attitude and system.

I just have seen too many guards drafted high but they where not big enough or mostly mean enough. Absolutely, when dealing with a left tackle you better have some quick feet and form but for a guard, big with a mean demeanor seems to be the recipe. Getting caught up in the whole technique in that position does not seem to mean much. Hernandez will be good because he is big and as Mayock said, "hates people"... we drafted Cooper for finesse and 'athletic' ability when he did not have the right attitude because the second half rolls around and these guys form gets shot to hell being exhausted, but the attitude is what reigns supreme in my opinion

Saw a stat on Facebook that I haven't verified, but it said he led FBS in offensive snaps without giving up a sack last year.

Your frustration would be easily quieted, if you simply accept that this off season is part of their plan, their strategy, their tactics and their execution, not yours.

According to PFF - his 469 snaps without giving up a sack led the nation.
That’s interesting. He might be one of those ugly but effective guys. Doesn’t garner a bunch of interest because nothing stands out with him but he gets the job done.

I watched some games on this guy since the pick.

He is not an OT...

He is a blocking TE... bet money thats how they are gonna use him.

too slow to stop speed rushers, not strong enough to stop bull rushers, gets very little movement against bigger players in the run game... but his down blocking is good.

He is a TE

I watched his film too. How does a guy that is too slow AND too weak manage to not allow a sack in 469 pass attempts at LT? Must be a monumental coincidence.

when you watched that film....did ya notice the little guy running around trying not to get killed?? That was his QB.

the only blocking this guy does well is down blocking....and that says TE,...not OT
