Never had a doubt the Coyotes would be playing here in Arizona for this season.:D Here To Stay! I am so pumped for hockey. The acquisition of Mike Ribeiro will help Doan and Boedker. I am also glad they re-signed Smith because you can't win without a good goalie.

First game against the Rangers. Let's hope they can recapture the magic they had two years ago.

Coyotes looking good so far, up 3-1 over the Rangers in the third period. Vrbata has two goals, including one on a power play.

Coyotes start the year with a 4-1 victory at home against the Rangers in front of a sellout crowd. They now begin a long road trip.

Great opening night, but I wish they had schedule another game or two at home before this road trip to give the fans a chance to latch on early.

Awesome start! Very well done last night with the new owners stepping out onto the ice. They were genuinely psyched and the fans gave them an equally genuine ovation!

Yotes get jumped for three goals in the first period and fall 4-1 to the Sharks in San Jose. First goal was soft, but after that Smith stood on his head for most of the game. Had something like 50 saves. Yotes got nothing at all on Niemi. Was a shameful display. So tired of Yandle turnovers...
OEL scored for the Yotes.

Missed last night's loss. Going down 3-0 on the road in the first period is not going to end well. Hope they can get 5-6 points on this road trip.

Coyotes looked great in game one. They really controlled the play and kept the Rangers from getting anything going.

In game two the Coyotes biggest concern manifested itself. They couldn't generate any type of scoring opportunities until about 3 minutes left in the second period. The Boedker-Ribeiro-Doan line wasn't getting anything done. It was a game where the team came out flat and the Shark came out dominate. Hopefully they show up for this coming road trip.

Another road game, another beat down - this time a 6-1 loss to the Islanders. Another early goal given up on a turnover. The Yotes played hard until successive penalties put them into a 5 on 3 penalty kill, in which they gave up a goal (2-0 at that point). The steam was out after that.

This team has no offensive flow. They can get shots, but outside of the fourth line the chances aren't that great...

We look like we're still in training camp these last two. We just need to tighten up the passing, actually hit the net, and develop a little chemistry.

Surprised Tipp didn't have them better prepared from camp, but there is plenty of time to turn it around.

Much better game last night. Yotes scored early instead of the other way around and the final score was 4-2 Yotes after an empty netter. Boedker finally got on the board, as did Morris and Stone from the blue line. Vermette got the empty-netter. Smith still let in a softie, but was good against a good offensive team.

Tonight they take on the Flyers in Philly...

Turned on the game tonight against the Flyers during the 3rd period. Greiss has been really impressive. Some incredible saves on the Flyer power play.

He played a great game. 36 saves on the road. OEL with the game-winner.

These last two have been good make ups for the brain farts in SJ and NYI. This division is going to be tough.

Yeah. Sharks are playing really well, but I think they have been at home mostly thus far.

Edit: 3 of 4 at home.

Doan scores his first goal of the year and the Coyotes have won three in a row, all on the road as they beat Carolina 5-3.

They actually played a pretty sloppy game (11 penalties!) and were fortunate that didn't kill them. They killed off a 2-minute 5 on 3. Way too many penalties. Granted, the refs were wound a little tight, but they played with fire and got lucky.

Klinkhammer had two goals, including a beauty on a breakaway on the first shift of the 3rd period. Korpi scored on a great setup from Ribeiro. Doan got his first and Boedker scored as well. Finally back home on Tuesday against the Sens. 6 points on a 5 game roadie? I'll take it.

I can't get used to Klinkhammer scoring goals. His name is perfect for a defenseman! LOL.

Good rally to run off the final 3 after a shaky start to the road trip - always good when you can get full points when not at your best as well

The Sens are a tough team, but in the middle of a pretty harsh opening road trip .... hopefully the Coyotes come out energized to be back home and step on them early

Yotes lose 4-3 in OT to the Sens. Ottawa was gifted a couple of goals, but their OT winner was a beauty, eh.
Klinkhammer, Vrbata, and Ribeiro scored for the Yotes. They had plenty of chances, but unlike the Sens, can't hit the net with their shots.
