Closing out the call, Royce White addressed the reaction from current NBA and WNBA players within his personal network. While formal outreach from WNBA players has been quiet in the immediate aftermath of the announcement, White expects recruitment conversations to pick up as the process continues. “I haven’t heard much from the other WNBA players,” White acknowledged. “I’m sure I’ll be getting people trying to recruit me. I’ll be able to fly around, flying now, my transition cured my fear of flying! So, I’ll be able to fly around and meet with some of the prospective All-Stars and perennial All-Stars of the league. We’ll go out to dinner, have some great wine and discuss what’s a good potential landing spot for me.”
