Justin Martinez: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander doesn’t often talk about his early days in the NBA. I asked him how much he has changed since then:
“I’m a completely different player, obviously. I’ve had a lot of luck with great people in my corner. People who’ve helped me grow with my skills. People who’ve helped me grow with my body. People who helped me grow at understanding the game. And then just people who’ve helped me grow off the court like family, friends, my wife and my son. It takes a village to accomplish great things. Without them, I wouldn’t be the player or man I am today, so it’s more than just me.”
