Russell Wilson was a third-round pick from the Wisconsin Badgers by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2012 NFL Draft. He got to two Super Bowls with Seattle and won one title. Wilson played for the Seahawks from 2012-2021. After he played for Seattle, he suited up for the Denver Broncos, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the New York Giants.

On Wednesday, Wilson officially announced his retirement from the NFL. The NFL Twitter page said,
He will find himself in Canton, Ohio one of these days. Wilson was a great role model on the field and off the field.

There are a lot of NFL fans who are showing gratitude about Wilson retiring from the NFL and having a great 14-year career in the league. This is what fans had to say about the former Seahawks legend on Twitter:
With Wilson going to the CBS Broadcasting booth now, it will be interesting to see how will transition into the next phase of his football career. Wilson played in a few games with the Giants last season and Jaxson Dart played in most of the games for New York. When he was on the field last season, he didn’t have the same juice and that’s probably why retirement was necessary for him.
