After an impressive first-half performance, the San Antonio Spurs suffered a shocking collapse against the New York Knicks in Game 4 on Wednesday.
The Knicks erased a historic 29-point deficit to stun the Spurs 107-106 in a thrilling finish to the contest. The celebration from Madison Square Garden spilled into the streets of Manhattan, and one moment involving Knicks supporters went too far, drawing backlash on social media.
Knicks Fans Bashed for Throwing Objects at Victor Wembanyama After Game 4 of Finals
In a clip posted on social media shortly after New York’s thrilling Game 4 win on Wednesday night, Knicks fans were spotted heckling Spurs players as they entered the team hotel.
Later in the clip, a fan appeared to throw an object toward San Antonio star Victor Wembanyama, causing security to hustle the forward into the hotel.
Wembanyama had been at the center of the Finals narrative ahead of Wednesday, as he escaped a flagrant foul for a hard shove on Jalen Brunson in Game 3.

NBA fans on social media lashed out at the supporters for the misconduct, with one user claiming they’d be rooting for the Spurs to win the NBA title.
“The funny thing is i really got no horse in the race but i legit want the Knicks to lose JUST because of these fans lol,” one user posted.
Another was confused by the visceral reaction from Knicks fans to Wembanyama despite New York taking a commanding 3-1 series lead. “You lose you riot. You win and you riot. What’s the verdict? F**king disgusting,” they wrote.
One user deemed the Knicks fans as the worst in the league after their behavior on Wednesday evening, posting, “Worst fans in the NBA.”
Another user was equally disappointed by the behavior of New York supporters, who were already on the spot for roughing up a Spurs fan after their Game 3 loss on Monday.
“The real losers are Knicks fans,” they posted.
“The Hater Report” was disgusted by the danger posed by the situation, writing, “Knicks fans WAITED for the Spurs at their hotel, and somebody threw something at Wemby and hit him THIS IS ACTUALLY INSANE MAN WTF.”
Wembanyama incurred the ire of Knicks fans during the game as he taunted Mitchell Robinson, with the latter getting a flagrant foul afterthrusting a forearm on the Frenchman’s neck.

The thrilling series will return to San Antonio with the Knicks one win away from clinching the championship after 53 years.
